What a great surprise!
I just found out that Krisdee has purchased tickets for us to see Koufax and Torre at LA Live this Saturday for my birthday.
Ok, this isn't really a surprise since i've been suggesting this to her for months, but it is finally a reality as the tickets have been purchased. :)
What i'm most interested in seeing is how Sandy deals with the surly moderator TJ Simers. Sandy is a total recluse so the fact that he has come out of his cave is crazy enough, not to mention he has to deal with Simers. Should be a good time -- Saturday off to Koufax and Torre, then Friday off to Glendale for Dodgers Spring Training. Awesome.
This year we made our yearly trip to Fathers Day Catch on the Field at Dodger Stadium for free Dodger dogs, ice cream and Dodger blue water. I managed to obtain the following autos: Tommy Davis, Ken Landreaux, Rudy Law, Al Downing, Bobby Castillo, and Jimmy Campanis.
Jimmy Campanis mentioned I had a striking likeliness to Jeff Kent.
Classic.
Having the family message on the historic scoreboard made it all the more special.
